Haha. Mike. Whenever I go to Argentina I have my friends saying shit like "Aww FUCK!" or like "Fuck my life" as like a knee-jerk reaction to fucked up shit. haha.

On topic. I picked up some German over the years of being a BMW fanatic and even more when I went over there in 2001 and 2006 for the fussball weltmeisterschaft (Soccer World Championship/World Cup). I love learning new languages. I loved in 2001 when I went to the dealership in Munich I had to relay to the clerk that I wanted Sport Evo Parts and they laughed at me. I thought that they had Sport Evo shit flying off the shelves and they saw that. They were like "We get requests for those kind of parts maybe twice a year". They didnt have it in stock of course. I learned a lot more in 2006.

I lived there for 3 years. I took kind of a primer class, it was mostly how to read menus and be polite.

I can get around, but by no means claim to speak it. I can read it ok and and understand about 50% if they speak slowly.

Like Mike, I lived in a rural area and drank with farmers and mechanics, so if someone is speaking hoch deutsch I have a very hard time.

Since I have come back...almost 7 years now, I am very rusty. It leaves you quickly if not used everyday.
