No motor, no tranny, no diff, no oil, no drive shaft, no radiator, no 2 gallons of coolant, gallon of oil, no 20 gallon gas tank, lines, ect.

Ball parking that on an e30 - that is 800 pounds +- 200. No?

No motor or transmission? How how does the energy go from the battery to the wheels?

A completely different smaller motor? I think he was saying that even with 800 lb +-200 taken out, once you add the new electric stuff back in, you could still be under the weight of stock.

I don't know, I'm just asking what you meant when you said no motor, no tranny.

Edit: According to Tesla their battery weighs nearly 1000lbs.

tesla roadster weighs more than an elise and the tesla has a full carbon fiber body. I bet the porsche is going to have a way bigger powerplant and those batteries aren't too light. still will be a blast to drive almost 500 pound feet of instant torque.
