Houndstooth fabric is one of the most popular fabrics in society. Clothes, shoes, wallets, hats, etc etc etc.
Hell i have a houndstooth wallet, houndstooth bike parts..
Its just a pattern. Has nothing to do with E30's or cars, just so happened that it was popular in the 80's in some cars as options.
