    Space is now corporate...



    SpaceX Falcon 1 rocket has finally reached orbit. The achievement marks a major milestone for Elon Musk, whose visions of a privately-funded rocket program appeared just out of reach until today's success.
    Interestingly enough, most of the technology was "borrowed" from NASA. The second stage motors are a replica of the lunar modules motors - or so I heard. I could be wrong.

    Either way - my father designed the cryogenic fittings that flew on the apollo missions.

    It's an interesting time to be alive....He would have gotten a kick out of it.

      I made some of the parts on that rocket! The combustor housings (Whatever that is :))
