    Group buys!?!?

Ok, i dont understand this stuff. someone make things a bit clear.

a group of 15 people or so, put their money in a pot to order 15 sets (or more) of a product, that takes sometimes three months to get?

Like a set of springs. GB price of $295, but you can buy them direct for $325 and get them via shipment within paid postage dates almost 4 months before the group buys?

    are we serious?

It can get a little ridiculous, I agree. IMO they should be saved for things like the slipstreams that didn't exist yet, or when you're actually saving some money. But hey, if you're willing to wait to save $20, I'm not gonna stop you...

I see the groupbuys as useful if you are willing to wait. If you arent in a rush and you want to save a small amount of cash.
Most of the Wheel groupbuys are to get a certain size/offset that wouldnt normally be available to 1 person.
But as far as the others go..... Im too damned impatient.

yeah, i can understand for custom wheels. but lowering springs, sway bars, exhaust and shit from e30tech is making it loom more and more stupid. not to mention a GB doesnt save you money, it puts more cash in the company's pocket.

yea, i havent bought from a GB in forever. They are getting farther and farther away from giving an actual discount. And more and more about selling lots of a companys product at close to the same price.

GB are good for some but very frustrating to other I work at an aftermarket bmw shop and some people really don't understand the GB's hence frustration. So like someone states above if you can wait good if not buy alone good luck.
