    real 325i euro M tech I cars did have them cut out!
    320 and smaller motors didnt have the oil cooler, so there was no reason to have them cut out.- your valance is def. from a 320i M tech car.

        I bought it off the original owner, i have a stack of receipts about 1.5" thick in page protectors of a 3-Ring binder. I'm pretty sure my car was all original except shocks/springs/audio when i bought it.

          could have been replaced at one time too?? In germany that is just the way it is. how else are you going to cool the oil cooler?- the valances were done the same way also- very few facelift model cars in germany have 2 openings in them- because about 0.1% of the cars here actually came with a/c.
