    Honest Question

If you had the opportunity to get your hands on a low(90,000 Mi) '97 E36 M3, but had to let go of your E30, would you? I was looking at 2 that are here in Ramstein AB and am seriously debating it but the wife says I have to let go of the E30 and that is like stabbing me in the heart.

    Would you?

    Please discuss, thanks.

    Nick

No, I wouldn't. E30s have so much more character, and I much prefer the way they look and drive. Just take the extra money you would've spent on the E36 M3 and put an S52 in that bad boy.

      Nahh.

      E30s have 10x the character E36s have.

Nobody ever leaves the e30 world, they just take vacations.

It would have to be a pretty sick e36. I'm talking KW V3 coilovers, Dinan or AA supercharged or s54, sick 3 piece wheels, retardedly masive brakes on all four corners, perfect clean interiors with buttler soft leather vaders and black alcantara headliner, and has never seen a body shop in its life. Or an M3 light weight.

^ Yeah, I thought about that. 321 hp and ITBs would be pretty sick. But still, keep the E30. I mean, you're kind of asking the wrong people since at least half of the members on here have enough money in their E30s to have E36 M3s.

I would consider it, especially for a euro car. Better brakes, handling and more creature comforts ftw.

An E30 done right can hang with an E36 M3 no problem (as far as handling is concerned), it has more to do with individual preference. Some people are more comfortable at the limit in E36s, some in E30s.

Only euro e36 M3 EVOs got the 321 hp motor. All the others got 286 hp or something like that. Still ITBs, though.

I wouldn't trade my E30 for an e36, euro or not. LTW, probably. You've got a pretty nice e30, there, too, by the looks of it.

Sorry I didn't ID that earlier in the thread. They are both US Specs M3's. One is completely done up from head to toe ready to hit the track and the other is more for light track duty and more original. But based on all the responses I have seen so far, I think my E30 is staying home with me for a foreseeable future. Thanks for the comments guys.
