I would do it in heartbeat. E30's are not rare or unique. I'd swap for a Euro E36 M3, wait a year or so and then pick up another E30 to begin the cycle again.

    No!!!!!!!!!

I would never do that EVER! reason is from my stand point, which I work in the BMW realm, everyone that made that change from an E30:E36 hated them selfs after 2-3 days,so be careful E30's are the shit! looks and drive like champs.

No. If I wanted an E36 M3 I would just buy one. Actually, I could buy four or five of them for the money I have in my E30. To me, an E36 is not an "upgrade" but a different experience, one that I'm not interested in at this point.

    Guys,

I appreciate all the comments and info alot. An ///M has always been my dream to have, but after thinking about it really hard, I just can't let go of my baby.

The temptation of Matt's car was very hard to not pass up (the Wife liked it better than the more original M3 that was there also) but in the end it's an M3. The only problem was that later on I knew myself that I wouldn't be satisfied because I really wanted an E30 M3. So for now, my build continues on my 325 until I get it to where I am satisfied or an E30 M3 falls from the sky on my lap. Thanks again for the comments and advice.

    Nick

ALL Euro cars are left-hand drive, exp British-market ones.

And, the m3 he's looking at is a US-spec anyway

    Would you?

    Please discuss, thanks.

My honest response to this is: its your money, your car, and your life. you do what you want and ont worry about what anybody says about it!

if it was me (and i were in your shoes): i would tell the woman to hush up, because im making the damn money, i get deployed, and when i actually get time off to do what i want, when i want and how i want, i would want both, the e30 and the m3. this isnt a 3way relationship. if she has a hissy fit, explain to her "honey, its the wedding ring or your car... which is it because you cant have both" and see what she says ;-)

I'd do it, and buy another e30 when I get back to the states...

A car is just a car. Gazellebeigem3 is right on the e36 M3

I would never get rid of it! Sure I have had my doubts. I even bought a nice modded E46 to see if I was just jaded towards the E30. But sure enough, I drive the E30 way more. It's like having a young and old GF at the same time. Sure the newer one is pretty and is comfy to drive. However the old girl, she does things that make me smile!

Nick Matts car (the black e36 M3 with Z4 wheels) is a bad a@@ machine... i would buy it as my second car... plus it was maintained by a mechanic and someone who is crazy about the car as me and you are about ours. just my 2cents.
