Advice needed on Ebay 1988 325is

Folks, I will be accused of "internet sleuthing" on this one, but I'm genuinely interested in the car/auction, so cut me a little slack.

I thought this listing looked great:
    Currently for sale:

    VIN WBAAA1306J8253228
    Description
Up for auction is this Very sharp, original 1988 BMW 325 IS edition. This BMW is Carfax certified, has never been in an accident and has a clean California title. All the Body panels are original and the BMW has a very straight body. This is a true 325IS, not converted. Loaded with the Sport suspension, Spoiler, Front cool air intakes, all stock. The engine just had a complete rebuild by a BMW specialist (with receipts) It drives great, very smooth and responsive. The odometer shows 207,000 but the rebuilt engine has less than 1000 miles on it. The transmission shifts smooth and the clutch feels great. The engine fires right up, idles smooth and accelerates with power. All the engine fluids are clean and filled to the proper levels. The interior is very nice leather with the BMW sport seats. It is extremely clean. The A/C is Ice cold. This BMW is equipped with Power windows, Power locks a Full size spare and much more. This vehicle is in good original shape. With the professional rebuild this car has years and years of great driving ahead of it. Bid with confidence as we describe our vehicles very accurately. Be sure to read the interactive condition report for more details. Call if you have any questions or if you would like to come test drive this Original BMW 325 IS edition. Thanks and Good Luck

BUT Here's an almost identical ad, different car, from 3 weeks ago, including description of the rebuilt engine.

I sent the seller an Email to find out what's up & he sent back a nastygram & called me "Timmy." Now, that's uncalled for. Anyway, maybe I'm just being paranoid. Does anybody know about this guy and/or these 2 cars? Makes me a bit skeptical about the receipts for the rebuilt engine.

    Any thoughts?

he might just be using the same descriptions and just changing a few things. he's probably just lazy and does lots of copying and pasting.

Right - everybody does that. But the identically-described recent engine rebuild is the big money shot of those ads. Would hate to pay extra for that if something is fishy with it.

            'timmy?' + a nastygram?

I'd pass on that, alone. A car has to be pretty exceptional for me to tolerate a seller like that.

here in Panama e30s aren't as well mantained as that one, and people want over $2500 + , so I think this was a nice offer.
