Folks, I will be accused of "internet sleuthing" on this one, but I'm genuinely interested in the car/auction, so cut me a little slack.

The engine just had a complete rebuild by a BMW specialist (with receipts) It drives great, very smooth and responsive. I sent the seller an Email to find out what's up & he sent back a nastygram & called me "Timmy." Now, that's uncalled for. Anyway, maybe I'm just being paranoid. Does anybody know about this guy and/or these 2 cars? Makes me a bit skeptical about the receipts for the rebuilt engine.

Any thoughts?

Right - everybody does that. But the identically-described recent engine rebuild is the big money shot of those ads. Would hate to pay extra for that if something is fishy with it.

here in Panama e30s aren't as well mantained as that one, and people want over $2500 + , so I think this was a nice offer.
