the rat look? same thing with old American cars. its a style, and although we dont like it, they might not like our style of wheels, bumpers, lips and shit...

your opinion is your opinion, yes, but look at it from every possible direction. i think some rat cars look great, others not so much. if its originally rusted and crappy lookin, thats awesome, but for others to try, i dont like it

I like it. It's something new and well executed.

            I like that.

At the shop I used to work at, we restored a red Mini. The owner wanted something different on the roof, so I suggested ghost checkers, kind of a play on the Mini status quo. It turned out nicely.

You can almost see it in this picture;)

While you're more than welcome to your opinion, you don't have the right to proclaim that a certain car modding style needs to stop. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean people have to stop doing it. Plenty of people do, and they're doing it to their own cars, not yours. And putting quotations around "style" is pointless. Regardless of whether or not you like it, it's still a style of modding cars. Don't like it? Fine, but too bad. Don't try to tell people what they can and can't do with their own property if it makes them happy.

Getting back ON topic, I've always thought it would be cool to have a really small, like almost micro argyle pattern done as a pinstripe down a car. I know argyle is trendy as fuck, but who cares? I've like argyle and plaid since I was a kid. I bet it would look rad in german colors.

I admire them for it, actually. People try to do something outlandish in the BMW scene, and they just get trashed.

Looks good, but I would like it a lot more if he continued it onto the spoiler and did the grille plaid too.

Looks cool, I love mk5s, if it wasn't scared of quality issues (like the mk4s had imo) I would be all over a base-model Rabbit/Jetta 2.5

That looks great. I love just about everything about the Volkswagen scene. I'd get one, but would sooner die than drive FWD.
