Well seeing that I am driving a brand new 2004 Neon (not hte SRT) I can honestly say that even if I lost of an SRT I would be comfortable in knowing that I am still not driving a NEON. Biggest pile of crap ever. Im gonna take it mudding before I give it back.

Definetly a lot of good parts available for the SRT-4... both from Mopar, and outside companies. Mopar has done their research when it comes to aftermarket parts.

An SRT-4 with the Mopar Stage 2, Mopar Stage III/KW Variant 2 coilovers, Mopar/B&M Shifter, and some SSR GT7's would be a lot of fun.

They are rather impressive little cars.

Do any of you guys read Sport Compact Car? Their project SRT-4 is pretty awesome.

Best bang for the buck in any new car in my opinion. they just get a bad rap because people compare them to cars that are way above the SRT4 class wise. Compare it to other $20k cars, and its not that bad, and performs awesome.

Pretty much the only things I don't like about them are the bug-eyed Neon headlights, and the raked stance. I guess the rake could be cured with suspension mods, but I have always hated the front end of Neons.

                  Dude, you've got a jetta.

That's not really a step up.

With some decent brakes and a set of R compounds, the SRT 4 would make a hell of a track car.

Possibly. Just judging from the standard neon I am driving a track car would be the only thing it would be good for. The quality of just about all the parts feels generally shitty and I think I can hear birds freakin in the trees ass I pass by.

They would have to make a LOT of improvements to the SRT for me to even consider owning one. Wanting one is out of the question.

you didnt have to at first.

                        Cliff Notes:

Kid couldnt figure out how to get the drain plug out so he started the engine with the cap off so the oil came out of the top. Thne just refilled it till it was back up to the line.

I have an idea, how about this argument stops right here.

I'm sorry, but you're trying to defend your VW GLi against a Dodge SRT-4 on a BMW E30 forum? :wgaf:
