    Headlight wiring question

I'm interested in knowing what you guys are doing for the headlight wiring when converting from sealed beam to e code H4/H1. Are you making new harnesses that are relayed or just using the existing wiring? I plan on running 100/80 H4's and 100 H1's. In my past experiences with the Audi 4000's, building a relayed harness was almost manditory to save the switch plus get decent voltage to the bulbs. In your opinions, should I go this route or just do the plug-n-play thing. All input appreciated.

I just used the existing wiring. Most people have to replace the 7.5A fuses with 10A. I'm only running 55w bulbs though.

Looks like my car answered my question for me. Running 65/55 H4's blew the two 7.5a high beam fuses so I guess it is 12ga relayed and fused harness time for the 325i.

Your wiring is already relayed and fused. If you feel the need for heavier wiring, just run it to the existing fuse box. If not, just plug in some 10A fuses and go - the wiring seems to be heavy enough to handle it without a problem. (I'm running 55w lows and 100w highs in my Euro ellipsoids on the stock wiring and fuses.)
