The integrated driving lights in the air dam (new for 1991 model year) lend themselves to the sporty and aggressive look of this car.
The electric convertible top retracts with minimal assistance (a rare plus for this model where most cars have reverted to manual operation)
And I never knew that they had electrical tops on E30's. Maybe I am just dumb.
And to be a jackass, that is worth as much as someone will pay for it.

Well for craigslist it goes something like this.
10k because its a "classic" for them
+5k because its rare.
Another 10k because its a BMW.
So yea about 30k just because someone will be like Oh Em Jee Its a Rare Classic BMW for 25k? I must buy it and it will be a great investment.92 Granite Silver Vert

The only people who wouldn't really like that price for that specific car are people who want to do everything themselves and/or don't care about VIN > resale value.
Let's take my clean royal blue vert, stick my 16" BBS 003's on it, redo the suspension, redo the seats, put a tech kit on it, and paint it, and I've got a 10K version without the certificate saying it rolled off the floor that way.
Some things you simply can't do yourself. Sure, you can take an 89 vert and put a MtechII kit on it, but you can't "make" it a mtech II vert no matter what happens because it couldn't have come off the floor like that. Likewise, you can take a vert and paint it white and put a kit on it, but only a small amount of these cabrios were sold as is.
There's fun in both ways. And saving money isn't really an option for either way of doing it (buy ready to go vs. build up yourself) after many of us add up all the goodies we've replaced/upgraded over the years.
So the thing you have to do is realize how much something is worth to you.
The way I do that is not to look at the total price, but the difference between what I have or want to pay and how much I'm willing to let something go for.
For example, some people said they would pay $7,500 tops for this model. But the seller wants nearly 9K. It's not so much whether it's worth 8K but really more if I'm willing to lose this car for $500. Because even though it's high dollar, I don't think it's high enough that no one else would pay the asking price.Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!
