Upgrades for E21

After looking around for an older BMW to work with, I decided to get me an E21 this winter. Seems like a last moment to get them cheap in here (the less of them around the higher the price).

But

Getting an E21 with power steering and AC is as possible as finding atlantis, and i want both of these features in the car.

My question is - what has to be done to swap complete power steering and AC from E30 to E21. Is it possible at all? Also, has anyone tried fitting M42 in E21?

yes, the m42 swap has been done.

ac in a e21 would be nice and power steering is useless. for the engine just go with a m20 and turbo it. you will NOT regret it.

Actually I would. I want to build a comfortable car with as good of a power/mpg ratio as I can.

Why is power steering useless? I know, the original one in E21 was not exactly an engineering masterpiece, but the one in E30 is ok. See I'm not building a track car.

As far as turbo? Heh, maybe in my E30 ;)
