    What a Weekend

Friday night am on my way home, but i decided to stop by a dvd store to pick up the movie BULLIT. I wasnt around when that movie came out and i heard it has one of the best car chases. So after i get the movie am on my way home to watch the movie. When all of a sudden i felt like i rammed into something at 10pm. I was avoiding a huge pot hole and drove over a constrution metal plate. Thing was that one of the corners from the metal plate was sticking out and broke my oil pan. I shut off the motor and call a tow truck, because of halloween. there is a 3 hr wait. I specifically ask for a flatbed since my car is lowered. The tow truck a regular towtruck arrived at 1:15am. (instead of flatbed). He wasnt able to take the car as i predicted so i waited till 3:30am for the flatbed. That idiot said that he couldnt take the car because if he hooked the car he would damage the valence and bumbers. He was planning on hooking it from the control arms. i showed him the tow hooks but he refused to take it. So at 10:30am. When the next tow truck arrived. The driver just hooked and and towed me to my friends shop.

Nice, hope you get it fixed quickly. Some of those tow drivers are complete and total boneheads.

I got a New oil pan on saturday right after i dropped the car off at the shop. got it running today. That thing didnt just crack the pan. It broke it into pieces. I've never seen anything like it.

                Bullit was killer...

On another note, I worked for Steve McQueen (not long before he died) when I was a kid (he had a hangar at Santa Paula Air Port).

                Really good guy.

my car is stupidly low up front, and when I broke my oil pan this week the tow truck driver had no problems hooking it up on his normal tow truck. I don't get what would be damaged unless you had a lip that was an inch off the ground
