just to remind you, here are some numbers:

604HP, 738 lb ft tq, 0-60 4 seconds.

unless you do some MAJOR modifications to the body of your car, you aren't going to be able to fit wide enough tires to get enough traction to give you a faster 0-60 time (i assume you will be racing him in a straight line for a short distance), and thats if you get an engine powerful enough to do it in the first place. i don't think its worth the many thousands of dollars it would cost to do this, unless you are filthy rich and don't have to worry about how much you spend.

Turbo 24v engine, preferably S50/S52. An e36 M3 would be the best, and since you're in Johannesburg, you'd probably be looking at a euro motor car with 321 hp, in which case, those are as sweet as honey.

Or, you could get a Ninja ZX-10R and kick his ass for the cost of the engine swap itself.

after you swap in an s62/s50/s54/something, rip as much out of the car as you can. It's not necessarily power, but power to weight. Then, tint your windows so he can't see the lengths you went to be able to beat him, he thinks a blacked out old BMW with some tricks up its sleeve just beat the fuck out of him.
