    Shipping and registering

Im starting to look intensely on shipping a touring over to me in Canada. Here in Canada we can bring anything over and register it as long as its 15 years or older. In the USA from what i understand is that it does not matter how old it is, it must be converted to meet standards. So what im wondering is could you people in the united states get away from that conversion crap if you bought a car that was imported to Canada first registered there and then sold to you. Since it would be on record as being registered in Canada maybe the conversions could be avoided. Any know the answer to this.

Oh and i have one more question on the side regarding shipping. So i here the options are roll on and roll off, or crate when it comes to putting the car on a boat. With roll on and off would i be alowed to stuff the car with e30 related items like rims to avoid shipping. Or wiht the crate since it can hold 2 to 3 cars depending on size could i use the extra room for extra stuff.
