    I love my car again!

Finally picked it up from the shop today. TB, water pump, distributor rotor, belts all that jazz. My reman'd driveshaft and 4.10 diff.

Apparently the mechanic told whoever the PO had due the TB last time, incorrectly timed it so it was retarded one tooth.

WOW! The engine is running so much better now, much much smoother with much improved throttle response.

The 4.10 is nice too. Yeah its pulling 3k at 65ish, but that's the highest speed limit I see on the way to work, so I'm not worried about it.

Our cars are becoming more and more alike everyday. I just did the 4.10lsd on Saturday.

Sounds good mang. Its good to hear your car is running like a top.

    Hopefully it keeps running well.

How much did that run ya? I'd like to take my car to a shop to have the drive shaft done, and a new diff put in. I just honestly don't have the tools right now to be doing that kind of work in my drive way.

^The driveshaft and diff R&R book for something like 4 hours from a shop that isn't trying to ass rape you. I had a few shops tell me upwards of 8 hours at $105/hr.

Yup, now I just need to ditch this DINAN chip for a MarkD/injectors/M30 AFM. Get my headers, 2.5" single exhaust, new tranny and lightened flywheel and short shifter.

But once it starts getting slick out, it's going under the car cover so. :(

^Well not for long, we will still usually have 60° days into late Decemeber and early January. It's usually only really, really cold here for about 6-7 weeks in January and February. Then it starts warming back up in March, a few years ago on March 1st we had like 91° day out of nowhere surrounded by days that were in the 40s on either side of it.

                    OK has some wild weather.

Dude, I know the feeling. I just put in a stock airbox and plug wires (my old ones were starting to fray, and one even broke when I pulled it out of the spark plug) as well as changed my oil, and the car just seems happier.

it will snow in tulsa a couple-3 times, and get icy a few times also, but it's never something that really shuts everything down (although last year there was that AWFUL ice storm...ugh).

glad to hear you are happy with it again. I sure do miss driving an E30 these days.

sorry to tell you that your mech. was exagerating a bit. 1 tooth off, and you REALLY would have known it was that far off.
