318 will work, but its really hard. i would say start out with a 325i or 325e. you can learn to drift in those.

im sayin maybe 2 times a year or so im not really gonna take drifting anything serious but wats the feel of the 318 i heard its a really fun an denjoyable car... ive got enuff money for a good clean e30 thats unraped so i dont have to scronge around for the best deal... even though i try anyway ahha

The 318is ( M42 powered) Will serve you well.

The 325i/is will also... but not with the same style and grace.

i am going to try to help you op:

get 325i. stay away from an Eta!!! slow as shit , i can't even get my wheels to spin with my old eta. get a 325i some coilvers , some track tires and call it a day . Make sure you have a LSD . if you are lucky enough get a 325is best of both .

i hope this healps. also please don't try doing somthing stupid in the streets. practise before you start drifting.

Man, seriously, you keep claiming the 325e is slow because the wheels won't spin. If the wheels don't spin when you mash the throttle, you are doing it wrong. I don't know how, I don't know why, but you continually blame your eta in regards to its ability to launch.

E32's are one of the most forgotten BMW bodystyles to date, at least E30's (and eta's too, omigaaah) have a large following.

ya ive looked around on m42club to see wat the m42 can do with my budget for parts im not lookin for anyhitng crazy fast just fun:D

well i think im jsut gonna continue to look harder for a clean 318is i was lookin at one but i think the guys lyin to me about the paint which kinda makes me not trust him to much about the condition of the car...

Im not claiming they are better than I's but they can break the tires loose, and chirp in second... add a chip and its a damn fun little car that are easy to find and doesn't cost alot.

Not the best for drifting though..

I got invited by the 240SX crowd to go to one of their things where they illegally block off a mountain highway and race up and down it. I almost spat in his face for doing that on public streets (Monte Sano's Bankhead Parkway for those that have lived around here). People hike around those streets all the time, why the FUCK would anyone go try to drift around there is ridiculous.

ive honestly never heard of anyone drifting a mountain road around here( prob because people on zilvia hate 240 drivers that even talk about that stuff haha) im just saying on tv or youtube kids seem to like it
