Off-Topic: Eye Problems?

I'm having some eye problems, wanted to see if anyone had any similar. I've got these spots in my right eye, and they move when I move my eye, so I'm pretty sure they're actually inside my eye. I have an appointment with a doc this afternoon, and after describing the symptoms the secretary called them 'floaters'. Anyone heard of this? Its extremely annoying, I can't focus with that eye which is causing depth perception problems, which is effecting my soccer, driving, reading, everything....hopefully the pros can take care of it :?

ugh i get so scared when i talk about my eye problems. I goto the air force academy and unlike all these dilussional souls, i dont want to be a fighter pilot, I want to be a PJ(spec ops, those AF pararescue dudes jumping from the pavehawks in 'The Perfect Storm"),so i thoguht sight wouldnt matter. Its actually the same qualifications...almost. So i get giddy when im in the optometr/optamologist office sometimes. I want to jump outta planes so bad!
