    Installation is reverse of removal.

    Easier actually.

          1. Go buy a lockstrip tool
          2. Use silicone spray
          3. Be patient

Rocco, this topic was just recent beaten to death...again.
          Next time, search first, OK?

Ditto on the lockstrip tool. It's a PIA without it, pretty easy with it. I think I've got the job down to 30 minutes now after doing a bunch of times because the race car goes through them at rapid rate. I like using dish soap & water mix for the lube, as it's dries away to nothing & easy to clean up.

My big hint is to try to use plastic pry tools if possible, and avoid leverage or pushing hard on one spot. The fastest way to shatter a windshield is try to lever it out with a screw driver.

Oh yeah, I've also found a huge difference between OEM and knock-off glass. The last one I installed was a Chinese knockoff. Really cheap (under $100), but the fit wasn't great, and it was really brittle. Almost broke it installing it.

The aftermarket ones are a little less than $80, BMW ones are around $200.

I just replace mine every spring.

Interesting. The dealer quoted me $120ish, makes me wonder if they were trying to pull a fast one on me.

Since I havn't seen it I'll add my method...

Remove old glass, I usually either just pop what remains of the shatered glass out, or cut the rubber if it is old, or you can carefully pry it out, I see the use of plastic tools is recomended...

install the rubber gasket in the window opening, use blue or green painters tape to hold it as needed, the adhesive won't transfer to your car

install the bottom of the glass in its grove, use thin rope, like 1/8th inch, run it in the grove all the way around the top and lube it up with dish soap & water, as you lightly press the glass in and pull the rope out, the glass should fall into place!

Install lockstrip any way you like.

Get the lockstrip tool. It makes it so much easier and it costs like $12.

I've got the BMW lockstrip tool but it was $60. And it didn't even come with a handle.
