Cool Tools???

After rewiring the house this weekend...I would say the coolest tool in the world is a Milwaukee Hole Hawg and an 18" long, 1-inch diameter ship auger.

Wow. I actually read that long-winded post extolling the virtues of the Hole Hawg. Haha.

But me personally, I think the coolest tool was an 17mm offset box wrench, when I needed it to tighten E28 mounts on an M5x swap, as the front subframe had the TMS subframe reinforcements and wouldn't clear a socket with the rack in the way.

I only ever use my SAE stuff when I need one more socket/wrench than I have, and it's close to the right size...

I know it's an average tool, but I'm counting it because of the uses. My dad has this old beat up indestructible screw driver that has been used more often than probably anything but my socket wrench, It's long so it can be used to chisel, or hold things in place, or get things out of tight places, sometimes to push things apart. And yet it still has a perfect tip.

Any unique tools were used once, if that. Like my tool for getting the fan clutch off that I bought from a bike shop.

In my trade it is panel poppers and crimpers (the good kind) Channel lock brand

Most of my wire tools are Klein.
I dunno what brand my 0ga cutters are, but everytime I go to the welding store they complain to me that it take like 15 tries to cut a piece, and with my cutters I can do it 1 handed, with a perfect clean cut everytime.

If I had to pick only one out of my box it would be the snap-on dead blow hammer...

I dig my little snap-on 3/8 air ratchet though...

But then again.. I have this weird bent Hazett 14mm Allen/17mm hex that I don't know if I could live without...

I think one of the better purchases I've made was my Gerber Task Light. Works better than any thing I've found in confined spaces...aka engine bays.

my dewalt cordless impact has enough power for most jobs, if it cant get it off i hit it with the breaker bar first then bust it out really quick with the dewalt, and i install everything with it then torque it to spec with the torque wrench (this was in response to someone earlier)

VERY cool tool, just need to make sure that you have a real air hammer. a 3lb sledge works if you are removing a fan clutch beyond the length of your air hose.

The straight set (not offset) of those wrenches are unbelievable. Small enough to fit in a tight spot, long enough for lots of torque, and precise enough that the wrench doesnt slip off the nut under full load, breaking your finger.
