A couple car-gasms...
Earlier this week I ran passed (rather, was shortly over-run) by a yellow Lotus Elise near my parents home. I swear it was shorter than a Miata, but it actually was wider than I thought.
I then ran to the Porsche/Audi dealership down the street from work and a 2005 Porsche Carrara GT. It was unbelievable!! I'll try to post a picture a friend took on his camera phone soon.
Shortly thereafter (I'm thinking, what the hell's going on at this point!), this 21 year old kid was driving his brand new Murcielago down the street. Oh, he also has a yellow Porsche Carrara S4. And yes, they are his. Apparently his family is loaded out their proverbial. Someone I work with knows him personally and states he's a pretty nice guy, but utters the same sentiment I have (bitch!!!)
Then, tonight, I was taking my sister to DQ when I was at a red light getting ready to make a right turn. All of the sudden, a late bady Eclipse w/ HID's was rocketing the same direction I was about to turn. A blue 350Z was right behind him and they made 2 wicked left turns at the intersection, drifting nearly in sequence. It was about the coolest, and the dumbest thing I've ever seen. That was a sharp-ass turn too, as I've made it before going slow speeds. They must have been going near 50. Anyway, It just re-emphasized that racing in the street, let alone DRIFTING is as moronic as it gets. Everyone, please be safe out there.
