    R8 Replica.

    Check this:
The Audi R8 is one of the most exclusive and beautiful supercars in the world, commanding auto-lust wherever it goes and wherever it's seen. But what if you want an R8 but don't have the $105,000+ to buy one yourself? You could go through the arduous process of designing and building the whole thing from the ground up in your basement, but that would take 17 years. Who has the time? Why not just design an approximation of the R8 around a 2001 Mercury Cougar, fabricate it from fiberglass, and cal

Eh, very much like the Lamborenzo MR-2, but not as cheap looking. I'd just wait until depreciation smacks those things back down to reality.

That didn't take long! I was wondering how long it would be before someone did that.

Now someone needs to make a replica of the REAL R8...

wow, it as just as hideous as the real one.

and I'd bet it is more reliable.

I wasn't a huge fan of the real one until I saw one in person. I'm still not ga-ga over it, but it's pretty sick.

I would rather have the V12 TDI over the V8 version any day, though.

I think it looks pretty awful, but the R8 is not a car that's easy to make a replica of. To be fair though I hate most replicas that are based on other cars and not made from scratch (basement Countach).

              Love the real R8 though.

Quite a few of them hit the streets in my town recently. They look good only on posters IMO. Having enough to spend on R8, I'd get E9 for restoration and M-Power it.

Win for creativity and skill, fail for Mercury Cougar interior.

                      an amazing job!

yet i would never want a crappy version of a real deal, i would rather drive a bad ass performing vehicle that no one knew what it was.
