CALLING ALL DBILAS OWNERS all three of us.....

the intake boot running from the air log to the MAF on my car is showing it's age and cracking. is this something i need to get from Dbilas or is it something from another car?
i called BMP, they were no help at all
i emailed Dbilas, that usually takes a couple of weeks.

    here is a pic

if anyone recognizes it from another car, chime in

Looks like it's pretty much done for, you should just remove the whole assembly and send it to me.

Looks exactly like the boot from the airbox to the AFM on an E34 535i or E32 735i/il.

I'm probably wrong, but don't m42's have oval ended air boots on the tb end?

yes but the m42 is shapped differently.

why not get a real cold air intake? would be nice to suck up some cold air with the nice throttle setup

I just checked a few pics in the engine bay thread, and the oval shape is opposite direction. I feel pretty confident on the m30, but not definate...

BTW that is the boot that comes in the pre assembled kit from Dbilas. there is no part# anywhere, there is also no ports for the ICV either.
if any of the suggested one do, i can just plug them.

i have been "going to make a heatshield for that" for almost 3 years now. now that i am jobless i have the time to start doing something about shit like that on the car.

it would be nice too, because the MAF is not light and it's only means of support are the boot and a cheesy bracket on the front of the cone filter.
