anyone ever driven route 33 in west virginia/virginia

I thought for my VA beach trip it would be interesting to deviate from the main trail, and take route 33 through west virginia ( this was at 2 am). Well it was hell to say the least. I almost fell asleep many times, the fog was so dense in spots that visibility was literally like 5 feet, and there was a hairpin turn litterally every quarter mile or less the entire 300 mile route. I wish i woulda stayed the main highway. Dont get me wrong it was fun at first, but it got old after about 50 miles.

I went to school in Harrisonburg, and 33 runs right through it.

If ever I felt like driving, I'd hop out to West VA and back on that road for a nice twisties session. Never did it at night though. Actually, I had a friend who wrecked his iX into the side of the mountain on that road.

Rt. 33 is AWESOME for a joy-ride. I wouldn't recommend it on a trip when you're trying to make time though. See, you should ask us first next time ;)

When it's clear (not foggy), the view over there is pretty amazing.

Ohhhh and you were coming from Ohio. My Dad towed a euro 6er back from Ohio with his suburban via Rt. 33. I remember him saying that was an awful long haul.

Is VA beach the closest beach for you? It's a really crappy beach.

Yeah it is!! Why people come here for a vacation is beyond me. The waves suck, traffic sucks, and there is NOTHING to do here!

i went to VA beach before when i was like in 7th grade and i thought it was fun. i met some chicks, and thought i would one day come back. so we came back as seniors in high school and it was gay as fuck. needless to say we stayed at the hotel, got trashed, the end. bmw4aaron: how old are you? maybe you know the girls who we met a while back.

Just go to Ocean City. The waves still suck, but at least you can go a little farther north to Bethany & Rehobeth.

a few weeks ago, my dad pissed me off, so i started driving, not knowing where i was going. i went route 70 east, then i determined i was going to ocean city New Jersey, until a cop stopped me and gave me a ticket for doing 85. man i was pissed so i drive home. at least i made it to wheeling.

these chicks were like 18ish maybe 19. One was named Alaina Beattie, the other was Jen Hayes. I would actually be interested in talking to them if you knew how to get ahold of them.
