I recently bought another old school BMW

I'm a sick puppy who suffers from old BMW disease for which there is no cure. A couple of weeks ago I flew to Portland OR and bought a 81 Euro spec E12 528i automatic, it's totally stock and a time warp. Color is Kashmere metallic with a green cloth interior, very unusual color combo. The 528i has no AC, manual windows and sunroof. Wheels on the car are stock steel wheels (no hub caps, just trim rings). I plan to put my open face Alpina wheels on the car, drive it till the automatic dies and then do a 5 speed conversion. I love the Euro spec look on E12's, no diving board bumpers. After being in Europe this past summer for several months, I am inspired to do the Euro spec bumper look for my 74 tii. No problems on the drive back home to N Santa Barbara county from Portland
Now the fun part is to get the 528i to pass CA smog. It has a cat and a 02 sensor in the down pipe so I'm hopeful now major issues.

Here is the link to pics of the car.

As you can see by the pics, I bought the car from a genuine car enthusiast. That's the sellers Cobra in the garage, he also has two Alpina B7S turbo's and a E12 M535i, a couple of M6's, etc... He never drove this car so it was offered up for sale.

too bad about the transmission, but it's worth it for the bumpers
Not that I care, of course.

Man nice grab. I bet you paid out the ass for it too...

Did you mention the KBB value to him?
              haha

I would slam it on some RS's , steam vac the interior, and call it a day..

B35 and 5 speed swap and some 16x8 BBS and you'd be all set!

Edit: Euro M30B34 would be sweet too... Go all M535i spec on it's ass!
