    Legit ECU?

Has anyone seen or heard of this?
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car-...18#ht_1760wt_0

I've done some research and I haven't really found a whole lot of info, but this seems really cheap. Is this legitimate? Will i see the gains they are claiming?

If not do you guys have any other suggestions for chips that i should look into?
    I have an 89 325i auto.

Conforti/TMS and MarkD are the chip manufacturers that are generally trusted around here.

You won't see gains of that magnitude.

The most effective and absolute best route to go is to find out which ECU your car has (by taking the numbers off of the label on the ECU itself). The last digits is what type of chip you will need to order from MarkD and make sure you get what octane gas and size injectors you will be running and order straight from him at this site http://www.dsylva-tech.ca/

You and your car will be happy you did this MarkD's chip...

P.S. Stay away from the Ebay crap, your car will not run all that great... :drink:

stay far far away from this chip. If you buy a chip, buy it Brand name.

btw, same seller has chips for 91 E36 325ix with 405 ECU.
          a: E36s were not made in 91
b: E36s never had an iX
c: 405 ECUs are for 5 series (though it will work in E36s)

I would conclude that there was not much "research" involved in the making of these chips.
