I apologize in advance for you having to read this much...
I have recently purchased euro grills about 4 months ago. I love them. BUT. i have always had Depo brand smiley's (i bought them before i knew about hellas and boschs) and i realized that right around the time i had put in my euro grills i started to get condensation on my left smiley headlight.
I looked at my american vs my euro grills and see that on top of the euro grills there is a hole cut out so you can easily access the city lights. with that hole open, when i do things such as wash my car or leave it out over night, morning dew and water can get in there. the gasket for the city light doesn't work as well as it should.
Im not sure if this is just a crappy fault of Depo or if it occurs with all euro grills/smiley users. But what i did was looked at my city light connectors and found tons of corrosion and mold. BINGO there was where the water that had fogged up my lights. so i took apart my light and blow-dried it til there was no more water and put it back together. then when i put the city light connectors back in i took some silicon and sealed all around the connector. Hopefully this will work. I'll find out either in the morning, or next time i wash my car.
Has this ever happened to one of you?
