M50 starter and m20 starter

Any one ever try to swap the gear and end off the m20 starter to the m50 starter. My starter is taking a shit and I have a brand new starter for an m50.

it has been done. however i couldnt figure out an easy way to do it so i ended up ditching my m20 setup on my 24v and went with the complete s50 setup.

I tried taking an M50 starter apart to put the M20 gear on. I ended up throwing the starter away. They are a dime a dozen and they pretty much never fail.
