    E30 Heating problem

    Hey guys,

The heating in my 89 325is is shit, theres no question. It never gets hot, just warm, and when i come to a stop, it blows cool air.

So i changed my t stat the other day as recomended by a friend, and now things are worse. The temp gauge goes from normal operating temp to half way between normal and the red zone, and then back again. While stopped it still blows cold air and trys to overheat.

I have looked in to things a little more and i am now led to believe that heater core could clogged.

    Does this sound right?

How do i get it out and clean it?

    Thanks

Try searching a bit more, but to help you out. Search for bleeding cooling system for the procedure. Airlock=No Flow.

You can really mess up a motor with what you are doing. If the temp gauge sensor is just getting steam because of low coolant or trapped air, your actual motor temp could be much higher than what the gauge is reading. That can lead to a warped head amound other things.

You'll want to get on this ASAP.
