Yep it pisses me off to no end when I see someone damage a dash or instrument cluster just to get a stupid plastic gear! I mean comon, buy a new set or buy the whole cluster w/o braking everything near it!

But, like someone already said, you just have to get there early or buy new stuff from the dealer/online.

I was at Austin VeeDub(They have alot of bmws mainly E30's) Like 2-3 weeks ago and some kid was taking all the E36 steering wheels. I watched him walk by 2 E30s and break side windows with a hammer. So I told the used parts guy and he kicked his ass out without selling him the wheels. Normally they send a guy out with you and you point out the parts you want and they get them for you. The only reason I get to go out and get all my own parts is that they know me and know I wont steal or vandalize anything.

The "Pick-and-Pull" yards suck. People will do $500.00 in damage to get a $5.00 part.

This is one reason to like MN lol. Generally speaking no one will touch e30s here. But when a part is needed, the cars are royally raped to get it out.

Then again, the e30 pickins is quite slim these days. I don't even remember the last e30 my fav yard got.

Oh yeah, they just got like an 87 vert in. Nothing too good in it though. I think the top was mint actually, I might have to go snag it lol.

I'm not complaining. Last time I went to the Hayward pick your part I counted 20 E30s, 4 of which were 91 M42s and one european spec 323i (stripped bare) on 1/2 off day. I pulled ECU, 21/14.5mm sway bars, brand new pair of front rotors and an intake bellows for $60. All went into my car the next day. Over the last year I pulled 2 LSDs, M3 springs, Bilstein HDs, new interior, ellipsoids and an E36 rack all of which went into my car. I have no problem reselling parts but the vast majority of the parts I pull end up in my car and it doesn't make me any money. It really pisses me off to see torn up interiors or leather seats left out in the rain for no good reason. Seriously, have some ****ing respect for others.

Yeah that place is a hit and miss, I have pulled some pretty cool part out that yard though.

like the dousches who destroy a perfect dashboard to get a f$%&ing light board. I have a rebuildable cluster for gratis if you want it.

                        oh, someone call the wahmbulance.

first come first serve. at the pull a part near my house we're lucky to see any e30's, mk2 vw's are even hard find at the lynnwood pull a part. I understand the frustration of seeing things getting broken for a 5.00 part but cmon, what do you really expect? some people are just inconsiderate.

Local place close to me(spokane at school) has a euro only place, but its massively overpriced and they won't let you go outside to look at the cars, and they pull off any parts of value ahead of time and put it all on shelves so they overcharge for it all. They get all of the bmw's so there are never any at the other pick and pulls.
