Fukin' europeans! Releasing shiz early.
Every day I wake up we drink a lot of coffee and watch the CNN
Every day I wake up to a bowl of clover honey and let the locusts fly in.
Lobsterbacks attack the town again
Wrap all my things in aluminum
Beams of darkness streak across the sky
Pink rays from the ancient satellite
Every time I look out my window same three dogs looking back at me.
Every time I open my windows cranes fly in to terrorize me.

From Wiki. It may be right.
11/89 E36? It's possible. If you select a US E36 325i, the first production date listed is 10/90, I can believe that Europe/ROW got the car a year before we did.- Trey

my e36 is a 1991-- actually very early 91(no it isnt special/yes it is stilll ghey)-- the front struts as well as the trans. reverselight switch is different than all the other e36 cars.
here in Germany a car is not done by the "model year"-- it is done by the date of first reg.-- you cant have a 2009 in 2008 in europe...... funny huh????
but a 1989 I have never seen or heard of.

We just need to keep in mind that build date and model year are two different things.
The funny stuff is when someone comes into a shop with a 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight, trying to get fixed.
"It's an 98"
Yeah, that's what I said, an Eighty-Eight."
"I thought it was a 98?"
Yep, sure is"
"No, it's an Eighty-Eight"
The after June on build date trick next M/Y does not work anymore either.
