    seats

im not sure right now what the deal is, the seats keep slipping and falling back, is there a simple way to fix it like just a gear problem? i also read a few things about putting e36 seats in an e30, i found a pair of e36 seats near where i live for 100$ ... im wondering how easy it is to put those in and or if they are worth 100 dollars?

    thanks

Are the mechanisms just sticky? Mine were like that. I sprayed a cleaner in there then lubed them.

if your seats fall back it's usually the side mechanisms that are toast.. find another junk seat with good gears in it and swap them out. not a bad job at all.

You can adjust the side mechanisms. Chances are if they work sometimes, whey just are a bit worn out. If you pull the side covers off the seats and the covers off the back, it is pretty self-explanitory.

how can you adjust them?? I have taken dozens of sport seats apart and have never see any adjustment for the reclining gears.
