Went Paintballing

Well, I just got back about an hour ago from a paintball war. Had some fun. Went with my nephew and a bunch of his friends. We played out in the desert in the juniper trees and stuff. Very fun. It was my first time going. I have 5 welts, 3 on my legs, 2 on my arm and was shot once in the index finger. Didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would, but still was a bitch. lol I will have pics later.

I got my Tippman 98 Custom and the GA woods. It's a Capt. N00b gun, but it's a really good beginner gun (better than Spyders ). Paintball = Fun times.

I bought one of the original 98's the month they were released. You're right, it is a good beginner's gun. Basically just hose off the front 1/3 of the gun when you're done, and you don't ever have to worry about malfunctions.
I haven't gone paintballing in years. Since I got into E30s, guess where all my money went. I can't afford the $100+ days of paintballing at official fields, or even the $60 for a case of paint and playing out in the woods. I might try to get into airsoft though...

Andrew, I'm glad to hear you had a great time. Shooting people = fun.

one of the many hobbies with which I wasted my allowance on before cars. fun stuff, but like everything else, it always sucks to get out-spent

Ammo is so fucking expensive...but if you can conserve it and play smart it's hella fun. I remember my first time going I went this huge hill on the side to try to get an advantage on everyone else, I met up with someone else and we sneaked around the bushes trying to get to the other side to start getting people from behind. My partner got shot in the head but I got lucky and stayed hidden...after 15 minutes, and finally getting to the other side, the round ends...sucks.

I don't have a gun right now, but after going, I think I may get one. The hobby shop in my town is just down the street from me and sells a TON of paintball stuff. They sell Tippman's for pretty cheap too. That is what I am looking into about getting. I've heard from a few people now that they are super reliable.

hamann, how do you like yours? Had any problems with it? Anything you don't like about it?

basically all that is left from the original gun is the ASA, and the body of the gone
everything else including trigger is new(electric)

ps. spyders suck so much so unreliable

I love it, it has a pistol grip and top sights (both are very popular, don't come on spiders, etc). The only thing I really wish it had was a better barrel. The inside of the one they give you is so rough. Don't get them from actual paintball shops. I got mine in a kit from Sports Authority for like 160.
