    towing with an e30

what kind of rig would i need to tow with my e30, it would just be to tow probably less than 500 pounds basically like 3-4 suitcases and a 36" tube TV. im gonna be moving and need something to carry this stuff. is there a company that makes one for this? what would the max the m42 could handle in terms of tongue weight and actual towing weight? would it be difficult to weld something up custom? where would it attach etc....

400 lb gross weight, and max tongue weight of 85 lbs, wow. Not many tiny trailers will even fit into that spec.

          e30s can't tow ;-)

either get a hitch from euroland or get a whimpy one from bavauto.. My suggestion put less fragile shit on a roof rack and the tv inside

I've seen the numbers before, but don't remember them exactly. IIRC, its 150 lbs tongue, 1500 lbs gross. I've read my manual and don't see anything about the capacities. I know it will tow way beyond 400lbs easily. I've dragged a 1000lbs worth of trailer around with my 325i, and its no big deal. I think I got my hitch from Bavarian auto.

Just got this recently. OEM hitch rated at 1500lbs. attaches to bumper shock holes so no modification required.

Now that is nice. I wouldn't mind having one (like above) to pull a small trailer with tires/a gokart on.

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.

well, you have to find one on ebay germany or uk, then find out if they can ship. Or have a friend in those countries who can ship to you.

im in ma and happen to have an extra hitch but it was attached with holes through the spare tire well in addition to big ass bolts other places. If you want it to be permanent it would work for you, was very solid. Let me know if you wanna see a picture
