    E?

so what makes a 325e an economy car, and how hard would it be to take all the "e" out of it and be left with only the 325, and maybe even add some sport to it? im looking for a new e30 and a lot of ok 325es's are popping up bu i don't really want an "e" car.
are there huge differences in the engine and gearing, or is it just different economy programing in the computer?

An engine swap or a new cylinder head/pistons/engine management. And a 3.73 LSD.

Lol the e and the es have an M20b27, which revs to 4800 rpm. it has a lot of torque and not much power. The conversion would be to a 2.7i, and it requires some headwork, an i head, an i computer with a custom chip, and some other work. I actually enjoy driving etas, you just can't expect them to be amazing in a straight line.

i see i see. good stuff. well that gives me something to think about. i always hear people on here ripping on eta's. thats a bit more work then i really want to get into. i don't even have the money to buy a car right now. i think i am just going to wait and save and hope an 325is comes around.

well, that'd be very hard considering they have been out of production for quite some time now.

The 325es is a great start, they get a bad rap for not being fast, and the price in my opinion should be less, but if you just want to cruise around the city an es would do the trick, if you have the money and are willing to wait to find the right car then the iS is more fun :D

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.

yeahs. you are %100 right man. i want to know what my options are before i go buying another car. when i bought my first e30 i did not know shit and i ended up buying a 4 door 318i salvage title car for $2,400. what a rip! i do not want to end up with another car i don not want again and so i am asking questions.

ill have the money in a few months, and if anything comes around before then my dad can pick it up for me and i will pay him back. i would rather wait and find a car i actually want.
i would not mind this one.

The question he asked shows that he has not read up at all on the different e30 models. Instead of posting a new thread with such a topic he should have searched r3v or even google since its is covered all over the internet.
:loco: Now scurry along and go play youngin.

yeah go suck a duck! im just lazy. i know what the different models are, what i was asking was how hard it would be to take the economy out of a "e", not what "e" bagging designated. man you guys are all so up tight. one little question and half of you have your panties up in a bunch.
