This deal is too good to not pass along to my E30 brothers. I figured there was no way I'd be able to afford tires for the 16x7 DP rims on my cabby for a long while, and set out to find a set of bottlecaps with good rubber while I saved. To get a ballpark figure of what the tires for the 16's would cost I checked Tire Rack. To my amazement they're selling 2004 production Goodyear Eagle F1's for $49/each and offering a $50 mail in rebate if you buy four! At first I passed it up because they're so old, but I figured I might as well check with a few people and see. I called two buddies who work in different tire shops selling tires and asked them for their opinion. They both said no problem. After debating for a couple more hours, I finally pulled the trigger ;)
Anyone run 205/50R16? Four Goodyear Eagle F1's for $148 + shipping

These are great tires. Like them better than my old Toyo T1-Rs and way better than my old Yoko Es100s. In fact, when the Bridgestones on my 993 wear out, I'll probably put them on her also.
I almost wish mine were more worn so I could take advantage of this deal. Unfortunately, they'd be sitting another 2 years before the ones on my car wear out.1995 Porsche 993 6 speed
