What is this car worth?

Ok, i am not sure which forum to put this in, so i just put it in here in general discussion. I may be in a position to sell this car, and i have no idea of what i can honestly get for it.

1986 E28 528e, 5 speed, alpine white, red leather interior, approx 250k miles, in very good condition. only one small spot of rust on bottom of rear quarter panel, otherwise surprising good condition, very nice interior but with wear on rear seat, but no holes.

Thanks for any help!! i know i cannot rely on edmunds for an old classic car like this.


EDIT: took it for a drive today after taking pics, FLAWLESS! it ran virtually silently, everything worked, shifter felt strong, the electric seats worked, insanely comfortable, the interior was awesome, the door cards were MINT, only the back seat showed some wear.

BUT: power steering seemed not to be working at all for some reason, other than that, the rust, and that was it!

Out here in california an e28 "e" in decent condition with that kind of mileage might fetch $2000 on a good day, but I'd probably say $1200-1500 is more realistic.

e28 m cars and 535is cars are classics but a 528e is just like an old camry or something it never will be a classic.

Me neither. Maybe $500-800 but I'm tight when it comes to initial outlay for cars, and I don't really like the 528e. I might be willing to spend 2k on a 524td or an m30 car.

I'd say its a 1200 car with the the best color scheme in my opinion so It might add some extra value having a hard to find color combo
