so i am at work today and decided to go out to my car and found this...






called the police...as there was no note on my car...meanwhile i am looking around the parking lot and i notice this corolla with damage that matches the hit on my car...i get close and sure enough...to my non artist but pretty damn good eye it matches up, paint, scratches, and all...

cop arrives...i show him the car..he agrees with me and telephones the owner...who after a little convincing from the officer...admits fault..


i get the insurance info, file a claim, boom bam.. basically settled right?

well believe it or not...i work at a sears auto center and the car the hit me was actually in for service there! i was like f that i am not workin on it....one because im pissed and two because if anything were to go wrong with the service they would most likely blame me..

couple hours later...the people come in to pick the car up...they ask for me (while butchering my name) and i was right there and was like...yea thats me...so basically..the lady gives me this huge guilt trip how she makes little or no money and so does her husband and they live off food stamps and can we settle out of pocket...i say no...i want it to be taken care of your insurance...i dont wanna get f-ed over...

she says ok...leaves...goes out to check my car out...(ends up checking out a different car..) then comes back...saying i didnt see much damage...im like...uh that wasnt my car i moved it from the spot you hit it at cause im not trying to get it hit again...shes like oooo... well can we settle out of pocket.?? (again!)...i said a little more with an attitude..NO...that wont happen...and next time you should be more careful...and if you hit someone leave a friggen note...your lucky i am not pressing charges...


all in all...if you have seen my car before...i have replica m3 fenders fiberglassed to my car...i now have a damn hole in the side of my fender and a 8 inch crack spydering up the side...im not happy...when i bought this car i had a feeling...a FEELING..that some bs like this would happen..and sure enough...BAM...just like emeril says..


still waiting for there insurance to call me...and then i need to get an estimate done...kinda interested as to what the quote may be for custom m3 fender repair...

when my car got hit, it was a hit and run also. I was at graduation while it happened, i come back and see the front of my car smashed in. the guy came back later and said he was running late for work and didn't see the bright red car behind him.

Do you think you may have trouble getting this fixed since its custom? What I did when a lady hit my jeep and asked to pay me out of pocket was go to my friends shop and get a retardedly huge estimate of $1200. 2 days later I met her and got my cash. It was the best day ever. All she did was dent my tow package and make a tiny mark on the bumper of my Jeep Grand Cherokee I used to have.

The lady tried to escape but my buddy saw her hit me and jumped out in front of her car and "Yelled what the fuck do you think you're doing" she claimed she was going to park.

Its situations like these that seriously make people want to retalliate! It is hard to swallow when someone knowingly hits your vehicle and then just ignores it and drives away. Like "Oh, well!" You are a bigger person than I as I would consider keeping thier home address information and then after time passes paying a late night visit.

My wifes cabrio just got backed into in a parking lot while we were having dinner. Came out no note and just a smashed in grill and a bent hood. I looked around the parking lot to see if i could find a car with matching damage but no luck. It looked like a large truck hit the car with its tow package and didnt take off any paint just big dents. I have people. Luckily Walter at Valley motorwerks had an extra e36 nose panel and grill's he sold me for a really good price. Just a little hellrot paint and a little bending of the hood and she will be good as new. They couldnt have hit my $1300 E30 had to be my wifes e36 cabrio. just my luck.

thats what i have been figuring...that car is basically all bondo/fiberglass anyway so might as well fix it on my own and keep some cash in my pocket...just curious as to what the estimate will be..wish i knew someone in the body business..

that being said if i do go that route i can keep some cash for mods, but money to fix it and the also hack saw marks on the rear from when i cut the wing off (your welcome) with a hack saw one of the first few days i had the chance to

and i dont know if ill have trouble with it cause its custom...that will be interesting to see how that pans out..will probably just take the cash instead of getting it "fixed by some shop".
