US lifts 10 year ban on assault weapons, what do you think?

What do you think about the changes?

I guess now, you can legally obtain AK-47s, UZIs. Question is, why would anyone need these guns?

So John Ashcroft is a proud member of the NRA. Do you think maybe, just maybe, NRA has acted as a great supporter of the republican party  ?

Well politics isn't my thing, teach me right/wrong.

the ban was BS to begin with. gun manufacteres were able to make simple changes to thier guns an were still able to be sold. IE: They werent allowed to have bayonette holders on their guns, so they took them off, or they couldn't have a folding stock, so they made them solid.

I dont think it will change anything.

I know a guy with an m60 and a flame thrower mounted on his deuce and a half. He gets pulled over a lot.

It won't change anything. Guns are dumb anyway. There should be stricter laws. Bowling for Coulombine is a great film. Moore definatly shows one side, and I have heard someof his 'facts' are a bit off, but it does make you think about all the violence in the U.S.

I'm not a huge fan of Michael Moore. That man is way to biased imo. I saw Farenheit 9/11 and kinda made me angry.
Making fun of Bush's identity serves no good in proving any point. He did a lot of that in the movie.

I think its stupid that these useless guns are legal to carry. Why shouldn't bombs, missiles, rocket launchers and grenades be legalized too? It has no use, kills people, just like assault rifles.

You seem to make the only sensible post on this thread.

The ban was BS to begin with, it was nothing more than a ban on a couple of cosmetic modifications, and a limit on magazine size. The ban was also not "lifted", it merely ran out. There was not enough interest on either the Democrat or Republican side in either the house or senate to re-sign it.

Micheal Moore is a fat slug that needs his ass kicked.
