I'd definitely be more interested in this if their was a more solid solution for that ECU, I just don't know if I want to start down that road. I feel like it has a good possibility of becoming a money pit.
maybe some ecu guru's can through out some possibilities?Leave a comment:

You could run just the filters, balanced airflow would be better than unbalanced cooler airflow, but running just the filters will bias the power curve even more so to the top end.
Homemade plenums aren't necessarily super = on airflow distribution, but there is alot of info out there to get them pretty good.
You'd need to use an EMS that can do a AlphaN/MAP hybrid, their ECU will, but I don't know when it will go into production. I don't know if MegaSquirt will support a hybrid map like that, but it shouldn't be hard to find out with a little searching.
Run AlphaN down low, like 1500RPM and lower, and then the vacuum log should provide a good MAP sensor reading above that due to the airflow.Leave a comment:

I'm really considering doing this along with a 3.0L job on my m20, rather than a S52 swap.
Its only the ecu side of the deal that I'm confused on, do I have to come up with it all on my own? is there at least a base tune to run off?
Can I just run venturi's and those small foam filters rather than making a plenum? I do have a S54 manifold sitting around
Just listen to this setup(not the one being talked about, just found it on youtube)

Anyone interested in taking over the "point of contact" person for this?
I've decided to go 24v, so not to be a dick, I'm not going to keep messing with this.
If you are interested let me know, I'll let Kevin know, and give you all the info he has given me.Leave a comment:

Taken from their website in regards to hushing/bearings:
Q. Do the ITB’s have Bushings or Bearings?
A: We use Viton sealed stainless steel bearings that are prelubed. Bearings are a standard size and easily replaceable.Leave a comment:

Might be interested. Depending on how soon this happens. Otherwise I'm going to use a dbilas manifold, and Jenvey ITB's with a diy lost foam plenum but that would cost a LOT more over all I think.Leave a comment:

i would be interested in the standalone if it was speed density (MAP sensor) is there any info on there site about it????Leave a comment:

I will talk to him about a 24v next week, or if he might be willing to mix it up like 10 total mixed or something, but I don't know if that will happen. I have a huge chain of emails I just sent to my home account to sift through so I can post up a bunch of the stuff he and I have discussed this week.
Don't know if I mentioned it or not yet, but he said they are also working on their own Standalone EMS that will be comparable to MegaSquirt in price, but with more features, usability, etc.Leave a comment:
