    WTF? My car won't start?

I had a custom bass box build for the trunk a couple of days ago, I left the car alone 'cause there's a few other things I want to do to it before the weekend. I get in today, turn the key and my car wont start?

    1. Turn key and get it to crank but no start.
    2. maybe my fuel pump? sounds like it's flooded
    3. checked my battery post 'cause the juice seems to run out after a few tries @ turning the key.
    4. I let the car sit for like 30 mins tried again and the same thing happens.

    WTF?

Speculation- When installing the custom box and making stereo connections there was a ground that shorted the battery voltage to ground thereby draining the battery. Try trickle charging the battery. Remove the Postive Lead and Neg or just the positive and hook up the charger. Run it till the guage on the charger shows no more current draw. Give it 5-8 hours just for good measure as reputable trickle chargers have a circuit that will not "overcharge" your battery. Leave the hood popped for good measure.

Pop out the rear seat and look for the fuel pump under a black panel with 4 screws. Take that cover off and put your ear next to it as you crank the car. You should hear a buzzing or humming noise coming from the pump. If not, tap on it with a rubber mallet of the back of a screwdriver while cranking and it should start.

This will only work if the fuel pump is indeed the issue. Check your fuses though, you might've blown something in the install process.

1 gallon of gasoline and a match-- works everytime.

you need to give more info than that-- check all the fuses.

you don't have to crank the engine to listin to the fuel pump, just turn the key to "ON"
