Thoughts on buying an e21?

Yeah, I'm kind of thinking it isn't such a great idea right now. If I had a little more money lying around I would jump on it and fix it up, but I think it would just end up sucking the money out of the e30 parts and autocross fund. Track days dont pay for themselves :(

I thought e21s were utter crap til i saw what they were supposed to look like when i first saw a 323i.
