You do realize that you if you're going to harm someone robbing you, you have to kill them.
You will get sued and you will lose if you assault someone, regardless if you catch them in the act of rape.

not true. you can use appropriate, even deadly force in the defense of yourself or others. if you see someone being raped you can brain the attacker to get them off of her/him/it. problem is that if you have any money/assets (aka your house) you can expect a lawsuit which is a $50k minimum sinkhole even if you win it. killing the person only works if they have no relatives (the estate) to sue you in their place.
