I still don't believe it will happen.

Max and Bernie, as much as I hate them, won't let those big names out of the sport.

I suspect an 11th hour agreement.

Redbull has the pole in both F1 and Sprint Cup this weekend, with drivers having last names beginning with "V".

      Cool.

Great laps put down by Vettel this morning to take the pole. It will be interesting to see how Button races from the 3rd row.

              He did.

Nemechek's 87 car got Red Bull Sponsorship & a replacement driver.

              *cough*

Ambrose is gonna have his work cut out for him, he grenaded his motor in practice.

Neat race, so glad that Vettel won and not Button. The battle for P12 and P14 during the first 20 or so laps (between Heidfeld and Alonso and between Kubica and Hamilton, respectively) was extremely exciting, it's just a shame they weren't ten positions past that. But outside of that, Vettel drove an outstanding race. I was glad to see Massa hoist himself up to P4, it seems like Ferrari is definitely outpacing McMerc this year.

I cannot believe the lead that Vettel generated from the get-go. As soon as they started, he was just fucking GONE and stayed gone.

Pretty uneventful race, but I enjoyed watching Vettel just leave the field behind. I couldn't help but laugh when he came out of the pits, and you STILL couldn't see anyone coming up behind him.

Well, now all of the hype about Formula One can cease for a while. Mosley has opted out of re-election as the president of FIA, and all teams are on board for the 2010 season.

I am actually A little dissapointed that there wasnt a split. I think the rule changes the last few years have been pretty chaotic. Also I liked the fact that FOTA looked to Lola and Prodive to fill up their grid. IMHO they are much better selections for additional teams than Manor, Campos or even the US team. Much mroe likely to not fold and to field cars for years to come. Prodive/AM is basically a manufacturer now and personally I feel that manufacturers should get a preference over independents in F1 when it comes to available spots.

Also did any one see the potential calender for the breakaway series next year? I personally liek it better than the current F1 schedule. All it needed was Spa and the Nurbugring. Im sick of these new sterile tracks built in the middle of no where. More streeet circuits and classic venues please!

That schedule was total BS, many of the tracks on it have contractual obligations to FOM that would not allow a rival series to hold races there.

A split would have been a TERRIBLE idea. Look how the Cart/IRL debacle has played out.

"There will be no alternative series or championship and the rules for 2010 onwards will be the 2009 regulations as well as further regulations agreed prior to 29 April 2009."

Was the cost cap 'agreed to' before then or after?
