Why do I get the feeling that Bernie will push for Nitto or Toyo as a supplier to "broaden the horizons of Formula 1"

Williams confirm Barrichello and Hulkenberg for 2010, and you dudes hear of this:

(German Heidfeld raced for Sauber's privateer team in 2001-2003, before returning to the Swiss camp for the start of the BMW era four years ago.

"It now becomes very emotional," said Heidfeld, 32, after finishing fifth in Abu Dhabi. "During the last laps I had to pull myself together in order to keep my concentration."

The team signed off on Sunday night by revealing that Heidfeld is to receive a special parting gift.

"As a thank you for Nick Heidfeld's seven years of great commitment to the team in Hinwil, Peter Sauber is giving him a formula one car from this era," the team said.)

Well considering Bridgestone is Japanese I don't know who he would pick to "broaden the horizons"....I mean he hates America, seems to hate Europe, so who knows.

Looks like Kobayashi is more likely to get picked up by Toyota than not if they stay. Especially if they have a smaller budget for next year.YAY KOBASH! His pass of Button was pretty fun to watch, even knowing Button was heavy with fuel.

good race, Button has done well the past two races.

Kobash looks good! I hope someone picks him up

I really would not be surprised to see a Korean or Chinese tiremaker enter the world of F1. And fail miserably. (LG timing & scoring, anyone?)

Toyota is expected to make an announcement shortly (before the Nov. 12 meeting). This is not seen as being good news.

^Exactly. There's a guy on the Speed forum that thinks Yokohama should get the deal because they "are pretty much the leader" in tire manufacturers. He knows this because he's put a set on his pickup & is really happy with them compared to the Goodyears.

I'm waiting for Matchett to utter the words "Hamilton appears to have some serious graining issues with his Cheng-Shin primes."

I hope it is Michelin so I can see Vettel hugging the Michelin Man after a race. That guy makes me smile every time I see him squeezing into a shot after a race.

This comes as no real surprise. I am pleased, though. I greatly dislike the way Toyota goes about much of their business. Still, I'm not sure if this is good for F1 or not. Lawsuit from Bernie will be pending

F1 is now a debacle that it's become a joke. I don't even go out of my way anymore to watch it. If it comes on I will watch it otherwise I just skip it and watch the rerun.
