I wish them the best. It is a bit odd to see an F1 team principal walking around the prototyping area in a hoodie though. I would like to see them spend their (limited) money where it counts (machining & design centers) rather than trivial embroidery. It is a nice change & just what the sport needs. I still do not see them winning a race for another 5-10 seasons. I hope they prove me wrong.

Has anyone heard of any speculative drivers for usf1? I hope they are at least looking at guys with open wheel experience.

They already signed Javier Lopez, a ride buyer GP2/3 midpacker.

They had announced he was extremely close to signing back in Nov and just needed to get the required sponsorships. However we haven't heard anything since then so I assume he didn't get the money he needed to join.
Edit: on the teams facebook fanpage they have videos and links to Lopez's racing so maybe there is still something to that story.

Found out today while watching WRC that Sebastian Loeb is leaving the WRC temporarily and coming to F1 for Scuderia Toro Rosso.

As in leaving for a season or a race or what?

He was supposed to run the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi, but couldn't get cleared for his superlicense.

I was just reading that. But the during the Rally Finland (which was early in December, I recorded it), they were saying that he was definitely going to Toro Rosso in 2010. I can't really find any more on it.

So I guess Sauber is going to race next year, it just hasn't been included on the list because they haven't confirmed a name yet? Anyway they are going to launch their car January 31st and announce who is pairing up with Kobash for the drive. Sadly I am finally excited for this team since they have an exciting driver AFTER BMW leaves.
