    Paging Mark D...

I sent an IM but havent heard back. Maybe someone else knows the answer? If you have a performance chip (Mark D) installed and you add headers to your car does the chip need to be sent in and updated? Or is exhaust not a factor for that?

I can't speak for Mark specifically, but most chips will run fine with headers, exhaust, intake etc. Just don't change MAF/AFM or injectors.

why not change the injectors? I have the mark D chip for normal injectors and I eventually installed 19lb injectors and my car runs fine with the same chip. i'll email mark D and try to get an answer.

It seems to run fine so it must be fine. This is called whistling in the dark.

the car does run fine, its as smooth and as quick as it was before the injector swap I do a 0-60 almost every time i drive the car and it isn't any slower than before. I dont know how to whistle:D.... but i emailed mark and asked him about the differences in the 2 chips i'll get an answer eventually.

Haha! Bingo. Most motors will run fine down to 10:1 if the ignition system is solid. You waste a lot of fuel doing that.

And at 10:1 damage caused by rinsing the cylinders is assured.
