^^ how would you expect it to work? You pull up and the e-brake is engaged.

AFAIK, the console is the same regardless of where the steering is.

        Nope.
        RHD:

        LHD:

I had to source a CSL center console from a LHD CSL to fit in my E46 M3.

RHD E30s have the handbrake on the left hand drive side - I guess they figured it would be too much work to swap it across.
This explains why I had to use a LHD e46 console and armrest.
Later rhd models had the handbrake on the correct side so I couldn't buy a console/armrest locally I had to get it from the states.

You can see here where the handbrake is actually on the left hand side

            How about this one?

Comes from our e-bay like thing:

Made of metal with plastic decorative parts and "eco" leather (hate that stuff). Pretty cheap (about 20USD) so not sure as to the quality, but looks nice. Probably available on your ebay too. (like all "made in china" stuff)

Too much chrome, and I think it would sit way too high to be useful.

Forget what forum we are on? I'm sure there are a lot of cars that do it different, but we are talking about e30's here. :)

I have a Husco one in each of my E30's and wouldn't have it any other way. I'm 6'5" and have long arms and I don't ever hit the armrest. If you need elbow room you just slide it all the way back. Once you hit cruising speed you slide it all the way forward and have a nice comfy seating position.

Check the link - there are other finishes available. And it's not high at all - The bottom metal rack is detachable.

I know it's crap - otherwise I would have got it by now ;)

I just think it doesn't look worse than any other armrest on E30 - those just don't belong in our cars.

What a great idea!! You could also put some sand and a little E30 modelcar inside for a nice touch!

Works great for the rockstar that has a lid too. You can do it with the 1 liter Dr Pepper if you turn it upside down too lol

If you drive your e30 on stairs, you're gonna have a bad time.
